I was at this show, and am so happy to have the DVD taken off Japanese TV. Although I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have at the time, the "Sunday Morning Call/Where Did It All Go Wrong?/Gas Panic" middle sequence made the concert. I remember drinking a liter of beer/eating sushi nearby afterwards, and closer "Rock n' Roll Star" was still ringing in my ears. I looked across the street, and there was a record shop with an Oasis SOTSOG poster in the window. All was right in the world; it was a great night from start to finish. I'm smiling now just thinking about it.

These "On this day..." posts are great fun! And it was heartwarming to hear your personal memories of the actual night, Sean. Made me happy too now! :-)
