Beady Eye In Vancouver Short Review And Setlist

Short review from site visitor Ryan, who emailed in this report from Beady Eye's gig at the Commore Ballroom in Vancouver, Canada yesterday..

The band sounded great last night Liam's voice sounded rested and he was really interacting with the crowd.

When the band first arrived on stage he saw somebody in the front row with a Manchester City scarf and took it from and stood at the front of the stage with it stretched out.

He shouted something like "fu**ing none of that Manchester United shit in my house".

The band itself seemed into it, more so than when I saw them as Oasis. The band sounded tight. I think that was not surprising but surprising. They sound like the CD but rawer and I hope they can capture that on the next album. Early on in the gig there were a few problems with a few people throwing things on stage and I thought Liam at one point was going to jump into the crowd to get him.

Liam was verbally threatening him though, he was right at the front of the stage leaning way out and pointing. Then went to the mic and told him he was soft and that he never forgets. But it did seem to simmer down after two songs. I don't know why in Vancouver we like throwing things at Liam. Back in 96 shoes and coins were thrown at Oasis and they walked out of the gig 5 songs in. Just pisses off the true fans.

Second song in he made fun of a guys girlfriend who had headphones on. He told him to sort her out and he was soft with his rolled up sleeves. It was pretty funny.

So there is a bit of news from the gig. Sorry for the ramble as I am doing this on a phone.
