Liam Gallagher To Appear In Something Special For Comic Relief

Insiders claim that Liam Gallagher has agreed to support this year’s huge Comic Relief fund-raising effort.

He is believed to have a recorded a starring role in a special Red Nose production, said to involve “music and video” which will be the centre-piece of this year’s fund-raising appeal.

It is the first time he has taken part - though brother Noel has performed songs and done spoof interviews for previous events, the last occasion in 2013.

However, one insider hinted that Liam could be involved in a recording of a song and video similar to Peter Kay’s mega-successful re-make of Tony Christie’s (Is This The Way To) Amarillo in 2005.

“Music always plays a big part in Comic Relief and It is ten years since Amarillo proved such a massive hit.

“This year we once again have a great cast of characters, including Liam Gallagher, involved in a great Comic Relief event - that’s all I can say,” revealed a source.

Liam proudly took girlfriend Debbie Gwyther, 31, along to a London venue to film scenes for a video to promote his involvement in the secret project.

An onlooker said: “Everyone seemed in good spirits and looked liked they’d had a fun time. Liam certainly seemed in a happy mood.”

This year’s Red Nose Day is on Friday March 13 - when the British public will be asked to ‘Make Your Face Funny for Money’.

New sketches from Mr Bean, The Vicar Of Dibley, David Walliams and Catherine Tate will form part of the BBC programming on the night.
